# Shareable card, which thinking level for which task

You probably have a button in your AI tool for how deeply it thinks. In Claude it is called thinking level or effort. In Copilot you choose between Auto, Quick response and Think deeper. And if you are like most people in my workshops, that button sits untouched on the default setting. Or it is set to the highest just to be sure. An email to your accountant on the highest level is actually a bit like a full inspection at your garage. And that because your windscreen wiper squeaks. That is very thorough, only you are waiting half a day for it.

This card helps you to choose per task. You read it in two minutes. And after a few times you will probably choose without even looking.

## The card

Hang it next to your screen or put it in your team's channel. You may share it freely, as long as the name stays on it.

Below the card you can read how to find the four settings in Copilot and Claude. You also get two questions to set the dial, and two prompts to make your own rule of thumb.
